Hi guys, been away....Anyone know how to repair a stock LUV gas tank sending unit? Better yet--where to buy a new one. My gauge reads 5/8 of a tank when actually full and at about 1/2 tank it bobs around a bit then goes completely down to the bottom of the gauge. I've ohmed the gauge and it reads good so I figure the sending unit is at fault.

I took mine out and cleaned it up really good and it fixed my similar problem.

Hey Drummer....did you drop the gas tank or did you pull off the bed? Which do you think would be easier?

When I cleaned out my tank I used a floor jack, screwed a couple of 2 by 4s to a piece of plywood and used that to hold the tank stable.Bolts all broke off that were holding the tank.make sure to slowly lower the tank because you will need to remove the lines and wore for sending unit. Also take off the fill tube before you drop the tank.

I dropped the tank. Those beds are heavier than they look. It's a small tank and it's not hard to get it in and out as long as there's not a lot of gas in it.
