I'm stumped, The drivers side of my truck has a fine mist of oil everywhere under the hood. I thought it was the valve cover gasket so I pulled it and while it was off I set the valves cleaned the gasket surfaces and sealed it up with silicone. I don't think there is a leak there if it ever did. Cleaned everything up and drove it a few miles. opened the hood and it was back, looks like wherever it's coming from it hits the fan and gets slung all over the left side. Hood, master cylinder, inner fender, oily. Anyone else ever face this problem? It only sprays about 1/2 quart every 3 or 400 miles.

Mine leaks between the timing cover and the head and runs down the side and front of the motor. Then when you drive the wind blows it all over the passenger side of the engine compartment.

I would check your breather hose.If it has a crack in it that would blow oil all over too. Also check your oil pressure sending unit and the steel line that goes from the oil pump to the head/timing cover area.If the brass washer is wore or the banjo fittings are loose that would do it too!
