After searching for months for a replacement core support for my poor truck, I found one, but it's from a 73 (mine is a 79). I'm just curious as to if there are differences from year to year on the core supports such as the way they bolt. Any insight at all would be helpful.

I think the only differant thing would be the radiator mounting threads.

There may be some differences to the headlight mounting, but Ithink worst case you have to drill a few screw holes.

If you have what is left of one from your 79 to go from you should be able to get everything mounted up.

I do recall that there is an air intake hole on the 79 core support where the snorkle tube to the air cleaner hooks up, but that isn't critical.

Yeah, my truck still has the "snorkle" but it has a Weber so no worries.
