I just purchased an 81 Luv diesel. I have had other diesels for years and I am used to a lip pump that supplies the injection pump. This 2.2 doesn't appear to have one. My question is, I get a very rough idle when the truck sits overnight. I have checked the return hoses and they look good. Is there any kind of check valve in the pump that keeps fuel from going back to the tank. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

i know very little about diesels, but one thing i do know is that glow plugs are for cold starts, since compression alone is what keeps these engines running, mabye one of them is bad since its only when it sits over night and gets cold... acually i dont really know anyhting about the luv diesels, but a better place to ask this is in the diesel section... mabye a moderator will move this post for ya? ive seen it done before...
