I have a stock truck with a pup electronic dizzy. It will not start no matter how long cranking until the moment I let off the key. Any advise? Also do I need to use the ballast resistor with the electronic dizzy? Any advise will help. Thanks

What did you do with the by pass relay? The extra wire on the balast resistor is from the by pass relay, it supplies power during cranking. I suggest you go to the info area here and have a look at the electrical diagram.

I am currently using the ballast still. All that I have done was hook the two wires of the dizzy up to the coil. The truck started the same way with the points also. Was wondering if it may be the relay for bypassing the resister. I do have all the original service books and have looked them all over.
