I have most of my interior out for clean up and am now looking at a cracked and dirty gauge cluster and dash pad that I need to remove for a restoration. I don't see any obvious screws or attaching points, can anyone offer any removal pointers without creating collateral damage to surrounding parts?

Thanks!

3 nuts on the back side of the cluster, one on each corner of the left side and one in the center on the right side, if no one replies first, I will try to take a pic after work of the back side of my old cluster.

love to see a pic, thanks! Are the pads just clipped on? I found a clip on the drivers outside end but that's it so far.

Sorry, didnt get a picture up sooner, was fighting installing a dvd changer in my SS and lost.
Here is the pic, the arrows on the outside are the studs that hold the cluster to the dash with wingnuts and the small arrows are where all the electrical connections are and the middle one is the speedometer cable.

As for the dash, it is glued on to the metal frame underneath.

Some more pics of the interior that might help a little

I got it out, removed the wingnuts as well as the two holding on the end vent pieces, then glove box assembly and the glued on dash pad was able to be peeled off. What a cheesey POS that dash pad is!

Seems that my "new Pad" options are slim, either send it off to "Just Dashes" in California for an $800.00 reskin job, find an NOS original (yea like that's gonna happen!) have a local upholstery guy try to recover it (will likely look horrible) or wait for one of the new fiberglass replicas that are supposed to be available soon?

Any ideas? :?:
