Does anyone reproduce the graphics for the 1979 and 1980 Luv 4x4 trucks like the cool example (another luvtruck.com members truck not mine) shown below? I see old worn weathered originals around and would like to put a fresh set on my truck after it's been painted.

Find a couple of good straight on pictures of the design and take it to your local sign guy. If he's worth a damn, he'll be able to reproduce the design for you in whatever colors you'd like.

I don't have any trucks around here with originals to go from. If someone were to shoot those pics for me and throw some good dimensions in with them I would get them reproduced and offer them for sale, I have an AWESOME graphics guy just 2 doors down from me!

Here is the best picture I could find. Your graphic guy sould be able to use this and your truck for dimensions. The tailgate also has two full stripes to match the sides. Not my truck its out of a magazine but pretty nice. http://s1163.photobucket.com/albums/q544/Flyline2002/?action=view&current=photobucket-1805-1341883805983.jpg

I would bet if you offered Wicked Mayham some beer money he would take some measurements that a sign shop could use to make a new set.

I was thinking that a really good tracing, especially of the "4x4" area and some good close up photos with dimensions would give my graphics guy something solid to work with. Once I have a good pattern I would offer reproductions in any color to anyone interested.

*If anyone has any original scrap samples of good original material for color matching that would be helpful as well. It wouldn't take much. The orange/yellow, and the blue/light blue would be welcomed

there is a fella on the facebook "Chevy LUV" group that is looking into having vinyl wrap style graphic made. His name is Terry Johnson.

I will take a pic of my tailgate tomorrow, it looks like what the yellow truck in that pic might have too.

The photos above are of my truck. I was thinking of measuring and tracing my graphics and going to a little sign shop down the road to see what it would cost to reproduce them. I'm just looking to break even and not make a profit on manufacturing and shipping. If there is enough interest in this project. If You want me to check on it let me know.

Well.............I guess there isn't much interest in getting the graphics reproduced.
I just thought that I would offer.

Optional graphics? These would be easier to produce in any color.

I think there is interest in both the stock decals such as sport and mighty mike striping and also the 355 and ls1/lsx markings. I think there aren't a lot of postings to this because a lot of people do not know what the markings look like and having no idea of the cost involved with obtaining and installing a set.
