Does the distance on the '95 Isuzu Pick up fit a '78 Luv? Is the manual trans an exchange if it's a 5 speed? There is one locally being parted out thought I might check.

Distance of what? Which manual transmission is in the '95? Or which engine, so we can determine the transmission? If it's a 2.3 engine, the transmission should bolt up but it has a cable clutch (not sure what your LUV has).

Distributor. Stupid friggin autocorrect! Even stupider operator! I was wondering if the DISTRIBUTOR would fit in my 78. I'm planning on a Pertronix but if this is a cheap interchange,,,,

Use the electronic distributor from '84-'87 1.9 engine, it will fit the '78, the '95 won't.
As stated if the 5sp is cable clutch it will bolt right up, it's even the same length as the 4sp. You will need the rear tailshaft slip yoke though.

And the one from the '95 will of course fit the '95 transmission, but it won't fit your driveshaft unless you have the the driveshaft spliced behind the yoke. There are yokes that WILL fit your driveshaft and the '95 transmission, but those yokes are getting very hard to find. I recently got one from an '87 2.3 Isuzu Trooper. I think '88 was the year that they went to the larger yoke that won't fit, so you need an '86-'87 2.3 or diesel yoke or a 4wd yoke from 1987 or earlier. The '95 transmission has 27 splines.

OK so, if the trans in the Isuzu is a 5 speed with a cable clutch it's a bolt in, with which clutch? The Luv clutch? It will bolt to the Luv bell housing. Next I need the front slip yolk from the Isuzu to be put on my Luv Driveshaft. Shifter position is same or close, clutch cable from Luv or Isuzu? I can pick up a 5 speed trans and parts for $150 if I pull it myself. I'm just not sure if it's worth the effort and bucks for a daily driver that never sees hiway speeds more than once a month for maybe 10 miles.
Anyone know what kind of RPM drop this would show in 5th?

If your current transmission is good, and that's all you drive it--I wouldn't do it. The yokes are getting really hard to find and thus can be expensive. If you start changing out clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, release bearing, throwout bearing, rear main seal, it adds up fast.

I THINK you'd keep your clutch and pressure plate. The only reason not to would be if the input shaft has a different spline count or diameter. That's above my pay grade, but I think oldestisuzuist implied that it's the same.

Yeah you are probably right and, that's another $150 I can spend on the Camaro.
