I have a 79 Luv. Am having trouble finding a ballast resistor. Where do you guys find these? Thanks for the help.

Thanks but the ballast resistor they show doesn't look anything like mine. Do you happen to know if this IS the correct one but the picture is just wrong?

i noticed that also. maybe it is the innards of a stock resistor?
i found the right one tho

Thanks again. I assume you are talking about the SMP Ru-17 for $36.68? Ouch! Is this the going rate for these things?

My coil is stock. Any idea what the resistance is for the Beck/Arnley one is? My shop manual says the resistance should be between 1.3 to 1.7 Ohms. Thanks again.
