I just installed a re-manufactured motor in my 79 luv with another stock 1.8. I live in California and want to put an upgraded carb in since the one that came with it is neither the OEM or one I have seen before. I was curious if a high performance brand like Weber etc would hinder me from passing smog in Ca. As it is now it passes with flying colors, but I would like to get a little better mileage and power out of the new 1.8. Thanks for any info you might have on this topic. I searched the forums and didn't find much on a specific model of carb to use, so I apologize if this is a redundant post.
