im getting a pretty bad leak down under my glove box so i think i need to track down a new window seal
going to have to seal around the panel up front before i yank out the windshield to be sure its not coming from up there. but it looks like its dripping down from the windshield.... passenger side floor is soaked in the morning after it rains... which in washington is at least 3-4 days a week  fear of rust retting biblical

Luvs are famous for leaking through the plenum. Take the grill under the wiper arms off and see if there is any sign of a leak there.
Also replace the rubber sleeve over the base of the wipers with spark plug boots.

A new windsheild seal is obtainable . They just destroyed the windsheild and seal pulling mine for a cage . New glass with seal for stainless trim installed $240 .

Seems to me, it would be many other things before the window seal. Like mentioned, the wiper posts, radio antena hole, the holes in the cab that hold the wiper cowl or rust holes in the rocker panels or fenderwells (unless it is leaking when you are not driving it).

im going to go thru and put some rtv under the antenna hole and seal up around under the grill piece tomorrow afternoon before work and see if that fixes it. it snowed last night and the floorboard was completely waterlogged.. starting to get some rust under the carpet so its time to get this taken care of asap

and tilted it leaks moving or not. i can come out in the morning after a good rain and see the floor completely soaked when it was dry before. thinking its probably the grill in front of the windshield

My guess is the wiper arms. Like said before, get some sparkplug boots to seal it. Here is a good write up to follow from 800XL.

thanks that will help a lot, it would make sense that it may be the wiper shaft i have noticed one of them has been making a squeak lately so it is probably worn bad enough to be leaking :egeek

I had my windshield replaced last year. The glass shop could not find a seal for the stainless trim (hotrod80 if you could find out where the glass shop found yours could you let us know). I replaced the wiper posts with spark plug boots and still have water leaking after a good rain, but not as much as before replacing the wiper boots. I would like to put in carpet but not until I locate the leak.
