my rear axle or gear box is going out and trying to find comparable parts. i found a 1972 rear axle so im wondering which years are able to swap with my 80 luv thanks janine

i do believe that the 72-80 spring perches are the same (measure them)

The 3rd member should swap into the '80 axle housing but the ratio will be 4.56 rather than the '80's 4.10 ratio. Also two of the studs may be the wrong length.
