I'm thinking about switching to dot 5 (silicone) break fluid when I do my master cylinder. Ive goggled around and found out some information, but I am hoping for advice from some one that has done this to a luv.

Completely flush your old fluid out. Remove the lines from all 4 corners and push it through, then bleed it several times to be sure it is flushed out. Then you will be fine...

I swapped to Vavoline 3 & 4 synthetic . Works great .

DOT 5 has to have wheel cylinder and caliper rubber made out of special material or it will swell up and eat the rubber!

The vavoline 3 4 syn. Is compatible with 3 seals and will mix . It is only about $2 more a jug .
