Any of you guys know of a substitute fuel pump - carb solenoid relay that will work on my 80 4X4 LUV. It's the 5 prong one hidden behind the anodized gold cover on the right inner fenderwell next to the washer jug. Luv to have a NOS or new one that would substitute. Thought I had mine fixed, got the points working jumping it directly to the battery but when I plug it in it literally melts the inside of the fuse. I've run a jumper wire in the plug with power & fuse doesn't melt so it's got to be the relay. Thanks

You will probably have a hard time finding a plug and play relay. Any 12V relay will work but you will have to use a wiring diagram to hook it up. I assume that you have tested the relay to make sure it is bad? I may have a used one if you need it. See if you can get the relay # off of the cover or post a picture of the one your looking for.

I have some old relays laying around here. Are you sure new ones aren't available? I would think something would work, maybe not exact, but....
