well my 30amp alt finally died on me after running my stereo for a couple months.
i have a 60 amp nissan alternator that bolts up to my stock spot... but its internally regulated..
what would i need to do to convert to an internally regulated alternator??? i tried putting it on yesterday and the truck wouldnt shut off when i turned the key off! had to yank the coil wire out...zap.... ouch...
either way i need something bigger than the 30 amps to run my system etc...
what have other people used ?? i dont need a 100amp alt thats a bit much.. 50-60 should do it. but i have no idea what i need to change in my electrical system to use an internal regulated alt.
