Hi there!

I was wanting to see if you guys could help me out with my 1980 1.8L LUV's emissions failure.

It was REALLY close! 403.5 out of 400! But then I adjusted the carb (by ear) to what the haynes manual says and I got a reading of 1300 out of 400!!!!! Then I thought well I'll just back the fuel screw out! Thinking I had the adjustment backwards. Then it got 2000!!!!!!!!! :esurprised The only thing that was different was I did have Seafoam in it the first time and then I adjusted the carb to try and fix it the next time!!!

So is there a "better adjustment" for passing emission that you guys know of??
I've searched for something like this and couldn't find an answer.
Also I have given it a tune up. Plugs, wires, rotor, cap, air and fuel filters.
Any help would be fantastic!!! thanks in advance!
