1980 stock motor. original carb. Truck starts and drives fine. Will not run above say 3200 RPM or so. Will free rev. past that. Cannot see secondarys open . while looking into carb at wide open throghtle. . Can manually open them while running. Any advice. Will help. Yes I know get a webber. But till then I need this to work. I have to pull a steep grade daily.

Clean the carb and make sure none of the linkage is bent or no connected.Also make sure that the linkage is hooked up and is moving freely.Check for vacuum leaks with carb cleaner...if rpm changes significantly you have a vacuum leak.

Also make sure choke is opening fully. If not it will lock out the secondary linkage.
