Have a new alternator on there. Could a bad voltage regulator be causing the battery to drain? That is the only thing I can think of to be causing it. Any ideas to anything please let me know. Thanks all

Put a volt meter between the Positive terminal and positive battery post and start pulling fuses until there is no draw. If you suspect the alternator maybe You can unplug it and leave it sitting for 3 days and see if its an issue.

Yes, the VR can do that. Some batteries will drain themselves when they are getting older.

If you have a radio with memory or an amp that is not shutting off that will do it too. Also you can have a parasitic load across the to[ of your battery.Use baking soda and water to clean the top of your battery and the posts!

Ifnthenprevious battery was only a month old and quit that's significant. Something drawing quit a bit of current. One of the first things I would check would be to watch and make sure the brake light is not sticking leaving your brake lights on. I hesitate to mention this,,, but , I have seen this twice on older cars. A penny in the cigarette lighter plug. This is a high amperage circuit and the penny actsnjust like a lighter, creating a slow dead short, and turning your battery to mush. How did the penny get in there? Kids is my guess.
