Years ago with my stock motor i ran a 32/36 DGV Webber. It was a good running carb. The only emmisions i had was the pcv. Everything was removed or capped. I also replaced the adapter plate for the stock intake with a 2" riser adapter because the thin adapter plate had a problem. The secondary would restrict when at full throttle( anyone with a DGV carb knows what im talking about)By all means, install a webber. Scrap the emmisions jazz. You'll lose gas milage because of emmisions loss and the fact that your always putting your foot to the floor just to hear the secondary open. Just make sure your top end gaskets dont leak.

Also you might consider modifing your exhaust system if you haven't already. You'll be able to use the new carbs full potential.
