Ok Won't turn over but you can pull start it. What are the common problems with the Luv in this situation? I am going to check the clutch switch and bypass the ignition.Any other ideas>

There are 3 terminals on the solenoide, a fat one for the battery, a little one for the ignition, and a second fat one connecting to the starter. With the ignition on and the truck in neutral, short the little one to the battery terminal. If it turns over, you have a problem in the start circuit. If not, short the one for the starter to the battery terminal. If it turns over, the seleniode is bad. If it still doesn't turn over, the battery or starter is bad. Note, I rock a screwdriver from the load to the battery terminal. That still produces plenty of sparks.

????? exhaust is on the other side of the starter. Easiest way to remove starter is to use about 2 or 3 extentions with ratchet just in front of intake.

Yeah, that is what I do. Otherwise the upper bolt is very hard.

Well...solenoid shot, armature and brushes are shot so I have to wait 4 to 5 days for a new starter to get here.I could have had one here in two days but 110 bucks plus shipping...nope..I will wait for the 45 dollar one!
