Ok i just ordered a CHROME ALT GM 1-WIRE 100A , From what i looked at this is the right alternator I want to use with using a after market wiring harness . I just want to make sure i wont f up my truck after i am
done with wiring the new harness in . So i am just making sure that the for metioned alternator is the right
one to add for my 1980 chevy luv 4x4 with after market wiring harness ? Let me know ?

are you using your stock distributor?

No , I ordered a electronic distributor I dont like messing with the points . I think it should be a simple switch all and all I just want to make sure .

then yeah you should be just fine. my one concern was that with that much power you would fry the points but that wont be a problem. hook it up and go. i ran a 60A for a while but went back to my 30 cuz i was worried about my points. going electronic soon

Great thank you for the advice . Yeah my aunt owned a luv when i was a kid i can still hear my dad and grandfather yelling because of the points , so no points for me .
