My fuel pump suddenly lost power when running--it receives power when cranking so the wiring is good, when I put power on the black w/red wire at the relay, it cranks the engine.
There are three loose wires on the ri9ght side of the engine, one green, one yello and another yello with black stripe. None of these show continuity to + or - I guess that the yello/black should go to the oil switch on the left front-side(?)
anyone have better ideas??

The Hynes is an almost unreadable copy of the one in the link. the link is as good as any I have seen including the one in my shop manual. The green and yellow wires may be for the A/C, not used without it.

If the fuel pump doesn't run when cranking, check the relays under the cover behind the coil.

I have a 76 LUV. Years ago mine did the same thing & I belive it was the Alt. On the LUV the elec. fuel pump gets power while cranking, but if the Alt. is bad, there is no juice to power it while it idles. Try checking that out :). That has been years ago & it sure thru me off because I was use to a full size Chevy P/U which would have been a simple Fuel pump. Good luck.

The information section on this site has the wire diagrams with the wire code. As an example: 0.5 WR means the wire diameter in millimeters and it is a white wire with a red tracer/stripe. I know kind of hard to read but it is there.
