Hello,

I have a 1979 4x4 chassis that I want to put under a 1974 2WD body. Is it a bolt up thing, and is there a VIN on the 4x4 chassis anywhere?

I thought about the idea as well, because of SMOG reasons. I can tell you that My bed off a 75 Luv bolted to my 1980 4x4 Chassis. I don' think there is a VIN on the frame. At least I can't find one on mine.

The VIN number is on the frame near the gas tank. It is a bolt up deal. Check your clutch cable connections, that would be the main hang up.
