I'm having a hard time getting good proper spark and noticed a parts store sells a little curved black one with 4 prongs on it. Does anybody know where this would go? I'm not getting 12 volts to my coil.

Not originally it doesn't. Many have been converted though. Do you have points under the dist. cap?

Yep. Still running points. I'm stuck as after a rainstorm, she wouldn't fire off. Re-built the carb, new spark plugs, cap, rotor, points, condenser. but getting a weak yellow spark from coil. only getting 4-7.5 volts to the coil. also a possible dead short of 3.5 volts too.
