water temp sensor is on the bottom of the intake manifold right under the thermostat. Oil pressure is right next to the oil filter if you are looking in over the right front fender

LOL! Actually, that is fullaluv's engine. He has so many photos on the site of his build, it's easy to borrow them and modify them for just this sort of question.

My engine looks like poo compared to that one...hahah...

Dudeus, hope you found it :)

:D That pic does look funny.
The eng. is on the stand and rotated upside down.... But 2 boxes on the shelf in the background are upsidedown also. Kinda throws you off...

heh does throw you for a loop.

i ran into the same sort of problem today. found out my thermostat wire wasn't hooked up at all(would explain why it never warmed up on the gauge), instead the oil pressure gauge was hooked to the thermostat sensor, which would explain why it would show me having good oil pressure untill the truck warmed up.

however. in my 1980 4x4, the spot where my oil pressure sensor should be is a screw. the other funny part. with the engine right side up, my hole points down. which, i believe is the opposite of the engine shown.... minor cosmetic difference?
