I recently redid the entire top end of my motor on my 76. Head, timing chain/gears, weber carb, got it all going good drove it around the nieghborhood. it was running good, so deciced to drive it to work and developed a loud knock from the bottom end. When I got to work I talked to our shop guys and they all seem to agree that the bearings probally couldnt handle the jump in compression from the new headgasket. Anyone know of or have a rebuilt lower end for sale? I live in ridgefield wa. (about 15 miles north of ptl.)
