Hello all, first post here as you can see, but I am 16 and this is my first car/truck/luv. And needless to say, it needs some work, but I love it already. Needs engine rebuild, carborator, oil pump, crank polished, cylinders honed, rings compressed, nothing really too big. Should be up and running in a few weeks.

This is really just me introducing myself to yall, and showin yall my baby. Dash is cracked, tint is terrible, and the interior is to be desired, but that will all come in time. Came with an extra tranny and engine block if anyone lives near Tulsa and wants/needs one. Hah.

Oh, and heres the kicker, $400 with a little over 40k.

Any suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated, as of the first time I ever heard of a LUV was the classified where I bought it. Share with me your knowledge!

(I can't post URL's/Links until I have 5 posts?!? Madness! I cannot show you my beauty! I suppose in 5 posts I will show you her. Sorry bout that...)

Seems not to be all too active though...

I suppose when you have an entire forum based upon one specific model you can't expect a ton of action.

Yeah...it tends to get a bit busier on the weekends, but don't worry. If you get in a jam, someone will jump in to try to help as soon as they can around here.

Welcome and congrats on your truck!

(BTW..the 5 post thing isn't a punishment or anyone wanting to be mean to new members. Regretfully, Ben had to do that to try to stop a bunch of worthless freakin' spammers a while back.)

I assumed it was to stop the spammers and alot of the porn and whatnot.

I'm going to have it painted when I'm done, and I really don't know what color to paint it. Any ideas on what would look good?

It already is blue, just a shitty paint job. Looks like spray paint or something.

And I'm assuming Ben is the Admin or something?

Nice truck, nice trailer. I like the truck wheels. I hate my black rims.

There are a few other mods, Tilted, MEPR,Drummerforhire,FarmerJoe and Derik. I am not sure if I missed anyone. Why do you ask if you don't mind me asking? All mod's are volunteers

take acloser look at your LUV it says 40K miles.. but mine says 77K and it really has 377K on it, so you might wanna think about that while your tearing apart your engine and having to rebuild it, im not trying to be mean im just brutaly realistic some times... Welcome though and i hope everyone here can help you through anything you plan for this p/u

The blue is just really shitty paint. Looks spray painted when you look closely, that will come much later though.

I'll look into that, the reason I do think that it is true is that I know both of the previous owners now, and I don't feel like they would lie, I mean, I bought it for $400 and I have to rebuild the engine anyway, why wouldn't they just tell me that?
