I am attempting to rebuild a 1979 4X4 and had to remove the seat, due to the rats that used to live there. Will seats from an S10 fit? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Just about any seats can be made to fit... I had seats from a Mitsubishi Galant in mine. I had to drill new holes and use wood blocks for spacers so they wouldn't lean forward, but it was a clean installation, and looked mostly stock...

I don't know of any other seats that would just "bolt up" though.

I had RX7 seats in mine. the outside front mount only needed a hole drilled, but the inside front needed a block to mount to.

well s-10s are roughly the same width so it should work. But since you have to change em i would go for buckets.
