Good job, Now I see mine was done wrong, he used the plate with a bunch of holes in it (Stock weber part) and just cut and looped the throttle around it. I need to find an original carb to take the linkages off of.

If you don't find one, you can take your cable to a motocycle guy and have him solder a new end on it like the original, or a blunt end just to keep it from freying.

Welcome to the world of old vehicle ownership! :D

BTW...I just bought a used 38/38 in good condition on Ebay for $116.00 to replace my broken one. I had to watch it in stealth mode and snipe in at the last 20 seconds to make sure I got it. Hope I didn't clobber anybody here that was bidding way too much and way too often for days. If I did... I'm really sorry about that. But since my truck is my daily driver - I really needed that carb bad.

I just don't understand why people start getting into pissing contests and bid like crazy for days for anything before it's auction ends on Ebay. It just drives the price they'll eventually have to pay for it up - and it all get decided in the last few moments anyway.

Congrats.

I show my daughter that same nija bidding, I created a monster. At 13 years old she would out bidd a lot of people and they would be surprized at her age. She is now 18 and away in college and sells clothes on ebay make extra cash for school.
