Hi there!

I just acquired a Chevy Luvs for the first time! I have a tendency to get real zealous about the cars I really like. It's a neat little truck. A little back history, I've got a 1977 Mikado series with the little black stripe down the side. A little rust here and there but for being older than I am, doin well. I am totally new to these, the only other thing I drive is old crx's. Not the second Gen, those things are ugly. The late year 1st gen Si's mmhmm, but i digress...
I havent gotten a chance to really feel this truck out, but there is a problem that concerns me. It drives fine until about 50-55mph, then all of a sudden the engine stalls and unless I fiddle with the gas peddle I gotta start down shifting quick.
The truck did sit for 3 years before i got it but had a new engine put it shortly before that. the plugs may as well be new too. I figure it might be the fuel filter, but,. is there more than one? I see one in front of the drivers rear tire but I thought I had seen one under the hood.... Sadly not at home so I can't check ATM. Threw some antiwater agent in the tank with some good gas and got it all washed up today! Neat little truck, have I said that?
Any help would be neat. Long term I think I want to make it a convertible hard top Blasphemy?

I'm new here also.I've also become obsessed with these trucks. My wife laughs beacause many of our conversations either start with or end with my truck, lol.Anyway I have found one filter(in line) at carb, one in carb below fuel inlet, one(in line) at tank and one on end of fuel pump that unscrews.Good luck and try and use search method for stuff like this. Many of our newbie questions have been asked and answered in old posts.
