Can anyone help me with getting the bed and cab off my luv. First off i cant get the bed off the 75' i have, took out all like 8 or 10 bolts and it still wont budge. Also can anyone give me a detailed way of getting the cab off without damaging anything, pictures would be nice but its all good if no one has anyway.

Regarding the bed, make sure that you have removed all 12 bolts connecting the bed to the frame. Plus the wiring for the taillights - just unplug them. Give the bed a good yank and it will come off.

The cab is bolted to the frame with only 6 bolts. It's the brake lines, wiring, fuel lines, cables, etc. that take a while to remove. As for lifting the cab, DON'T use an engine hoist (like I did) unless you have a boom made especially for lifting shells. I figure you can get 8 people to lift it off by hand.

Ok yea, i got the fuel lines and lights disconnected on the bed, the spare and everything is out. I thought there was only 10 bolts that connected it, which is still ridiculous, my neighbors half ton has 6 bolts holding it down. Oh and why would using a cherry picker be a bad idea?? does it just wrench to much on one spot or something??

A regular engine hoist will not reach a center point in order to lift the shell evenly. The shell ends up banging into the hoist constantly, and the front of the cab stays low because of the hoist boom's inability to reach a center balance. I'm not saying that it can't be done, since I did use one... but I would not use one again - way too much trouble...
