I have a 1980 luv and im upgrading and replacing the fuel system. Which carburetor would you reccomend? I was looking at Weber 32/36 and also the 38 outlaw. Ive heard that i will get better gas mileage with the 32/36 but the 38 is best if I plan on adding other performance parts in their down the road (which i plan on). However, the best price i can find them are atleast 300 bucks from ebay. Has anyone installed these carbs or had better luck with other brands like holley or edelbrock? any information or suggestions would greatly help. thanks

I'm not an expert but I have the 32/36 and Ive found it to be the most popular "other than stock" carb. If you do a search you will find others used with similar success. As for the 38 I guess it would depend on the future upgrades. I have an Offy, and still have to put on my headers and may some day get a dizzy upgrade but the 32/36 I think will do what I need.

Also if you do get a Weber and also would like to upgrade the intake, let me know since I would like to try to place another order with Offy soon if I can get a few more people who want one. Send me a PM if you are interested and want more info.
