The stock engine displacement is 1.8L.
I'm not sure you want to make your own adapter, but maybe rather get a new intake. Everybody keeps talking about the Offy intake, and I think there's a sticky thread on the stock board about those (viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13214)

You can buy an adapter, and I think they are made of aluminum. Any place that sells the conversion kits should be able to get you an adapter.

If you do decide you might want an Offy intake for the Weber carb, let me know as I still would like about 5 more people interested before I place another order with Offy. I would have liked to have had them ordered a few months ago, but it has been all quiet on Offy interest all Summer. PM me if you need some more info, or just check out the Offy thread at the top of the Stock Trucks forum.
