Unfortunately disc brake masters don't work with drum brakes. The bore & piston in master move a different volume of fluid, not enough on the disc brake master to push out the drum brake wheel cylinders.

In some setups it can be forced to work but that is no measure of relative safety! It may fail you at any time, likely the worst possible time. It can give the illusion of working under 'normal' driving but then fail suddenly & catastrophically under panic stops conditions!
