I've got an '81 with the G180. Will a G180 from a '76 work in my truck? From what I can see it is the same engine with some minor differences. Does anyone know if there will be issues with mounts or anything that will get in the way?

What state are you in? I'm not to family with the 81-82 Luv, but for some states like CA, they might have changed smoe of the smog? But you might ble able to swap all the parts over. Just a thought.

I'm in Washington and luckily don't have to have the smog stuff, most of it was gone when I got the truck and I took the rest off. I seriously need an engine rebuild, but don't have the time or skill to do it myself so I'm gonna buy a rebuilt. I found a real nice deal on one but it says it's for a '76...looks like it should work though.
