Just got back into driving a LUV. I would like to know what a "C" light is too! Where is this light located on the dash?

My guess too. Check the charging by connecting a meter accross the battery terminals. You should read about 14 volt above idle. If not, it could be either the alternator or voltage regulator. Even easier would be to take it to AutoZone or the like and ask them to check the charging system. They should be able to diagnose exactly what is wrong.
