I don't have a repair maual yet so what is the timing for a 1980 LUV?

my books are at the shop but for stock i think it was 6deg. could be wrong but thats what i remember

Thanks. The 13 degrees it is set on now is probably why it's so lethargic and backfires when I shut it off...

The timinmg was set at 13 degrees 'retarded'. Now with it at the correct 6 degrees btc and the idle set to 700-750, I can feel her run better and no more run-on and backfires when shutting her off. Thanks everyone....
