Any information : Where to purchase electrical parts for my 76. Specifically a fuse box. Mine is worn and rusted and I think it's contributing to an excessive amount of fuel pump replacements. I'm replacing it about once a year with no pre-warning signs.

You might find one on Ebay every once in a while, but mostly the only place to find a new box (or most parts) is from someone here or a salvage yard.

Happy Hunting....

Was looking around on Summit Racing today and found this

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-9 ... mage=large

They have several types of them, and they look to be very similar to the stock one to point that you can just unplug all the wires from your stock one and replace it with one of these. I like that this uses the blade type fuses as well, I think they're more durable than the glass ones. And, it comes with the plastic cover that none of us can ever find for our stock ones. They have 10, 8, 6 and 4 circuit ones. I don't remember now how many circuits you need for a LUV, but I suppose you could just get 2 of them, they are cheap enough. They only go to 15 amps per circuit; but I think for larger loads you should use a relay and inline fuse anyway.

Like they said, clean up your old one or look around here for a good used one. The one that eln1972luv pointed out woulkd be a nice upgrade, it may even fit in the stock location if not it would just take a few to make it work. By the way your fuel pump is run off of a relay.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.
