Hey guys, my dist. is making a noise and I don't know why. I convertered to the electronic a couple weeks ago and everything was perfect. Two days ago it starts to make a weird noise that I know is coming from the distributor. It sounds like somethings rubbing. I started pushin on the new cap and rotor I bought thinking that was it and I can kinda make it go away but I'm at a lost as to why it is. There's a llittle play in the center shaft but my old dist. with points had the same amount of up and down play. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks guys.

Re check the air gap and inspect cap and rotor forubbing as well.

I don't know what the air gap is but I'll check it out thanks for the suggestions.
