hey guys looking at the tub on my LUV today and i notice theres a panel on the passenger side in front of the wheel well, so whats it for? its just a standard fleetside bed, also im in australia so my passenger side is opposite the american one, i assume it has something to do with the fuel as its right near the filler.

cheers michael

Behind that panel is a plastic bottle, sort of. It is a vapor recovery for the fuel tank, and oil pan.

I don't know. Never tried it. I would guess that it needs to stay elevated higher than the fuel tank.

I unbolted my panel to look at it. Why is this the only vehicle that has this system on it? I haven't seen it on anything else, ever. Plus, it seems vunerable in the bed of a work truck. I'm actually planing on using some diamond plate to make an extra panel just in case.

All gas vehicles have a vapor recovery unit, the LUV hapens to have it in the bed. Never herd of one causing peoblems.
