Hey All,
I picked up a 1979 LUV last summer to use as a light work truck for help in the solar business. I bought it off of a lady who owned it since new, and had only put 45,000 miles on it. The truck ran fine when I purchased it. I did a basic tuneup with fluids, plugs and filters. A couple of weeks ago, the truck essentially lost all power. It has a real hard time accelerating, and shudders when you first put any load on it. At idle, with no load, RPM come up nice and quick. But as soon as there is load, it bogs down. Symptoms sound very similar to madaro-man's recent post:

I've tried various solutions, and am ready to part with it if there is a buyer in the area. I am located in Eastern MA. The truck is RWD and yellow. The previous owner put in a tonneau cover with snaps. I welded up a ladder rack for her. Other than that, it appears stock. The stock AM radio is still in it and working. So, what would you guys do? Try to fix her, or pass her off to someone with more time and money?
