So, recently I've been looking for an engine (by recently I mean the past year). I couldn't find a suitable 2.6L or 2.3L Isuzu, but I did find a stock 1.8L so I jumped on that. Anyways, its in the truck now and it seems to be running pretty decent apart for a little bit of smoke (hopefully just a little oil seeped past the rings whilst it was upside down on the stand, but time will tell) and the timing is just a bit off. Once thats done she'll be on the road, as I just finished my interior with new floor pans and herculined dash and floorboard.

Hopefully as shes driving I can do some fun exterior stuff, such as bob the bed, weld up the rocker panels a bit, and build a tube bumper and roll bar.

Now to the pics...

Its gone. That was the old one, as when I had taken the pics I hadn't yet done the oil change. But I have now, and its long gone.

Fram has a recent history of collapsing internally, hence the ditch the Fram rant. A Wix filter is a good choice. As an example, my race motor went from 75 PSI cold to around 20 with just an oil change. I swapped out the Fram with the Suregrip option for the Wix and was back up to snuff. The 'good' filters from Napa & Carquest are made for them by Wix...
