is the gearing of the front diff the same as the rear. i was told by a friend in 4x4 the front is a little lhigher cause it gets less power but has to turn as fast as the rear. i didn't think this sounded right but i thought i would run this by you. matt

No it is the same, unless you have a t-case which had gears that make the front shaft turn a differant speed than the rear, when you in 4 wheel drive the power is distributed evenly to frotn and rear, unles u have a np203 t-case which is fulltime 4wd, and gives the frotn mor epower than the rear, unless it sin the loc position.

the higher front end gear ratio is a mud racing trick(it makes the front spin faster thus pulls the truck straight and gives better controll in low traction). Stock trucks dont come whith this the frant and rear ratios are the same(probly 4.10:1)
