is both the head and the block steel/cast on the 1.8 gas motor, or is any part aluminum?

reason i am asking is ive got a minor oil leak in the head, and i was wondering if anything would possibly have to be re-machined (not including honing out the cylinder walls) if the motor was to undergo a rebuild?

i have seen a post on here about a 400 dollar rebuild. but i wasn't sure if that was motor specific or if all motors had the same basic design/materials?

Iron block aluminum head and just where is the oil leak at as the valve cover could be leaking or one of the 1/2 moon seals.

its not coming from the valve cover, i replaced both half moon seals and the gasket last month to stop a previous oil leak.

i cleaned the entire engine, and found a leak right by the first exaust port of the header between the head and the block, and also a leak on the opposite side coming from the head as well.

i was curious as to what my chances would be of rebuilding the engine without the head being warped.
