1981 Chevrolet Luv Longbed Pickup

Hi does anyone have any idea where I can find the gear that goes in the transmission to where the speedometer cable fits, I put in a new cable and tested it and it works fine on the Speedometer end but not on the transmission end, so that tells me that the gear could possibly be bad, thanks for any help, Terry
