Does you temperature gauge work ok? Find the wire that goes into the top of the fuel tank, and with the key on grounding this wire should make the gauge read full. If it does it means the gauge is ok and the problem is the unit inside the tank.

yeah its my sending unit which i thought was bad now to figure out who to mickey mouse something that would work

The tanks come out with out too much of a problem, try to find another sending unit.
