so the last few months of tinkering with my Luv I've noticed that everything was always dim or powerless. To my dismay I took the alternator off and made a bracket for a delco and still no luck. So I put the Luv alternator back on and "charged the feild" . It consisted of unplugging the alternator and running a wire from the F post to the + positive battery terminal. My indash amp, meter soon told me that my little japanese altrnator was in great shape and charged fine. so I moved on to the regulator and checked wires and in the proccess blew the regulator fuse. I then took the regulator off and swapped it with a different style "american style" regulator. And PRESTO !!!

job finished. I even went to the trouble of buying an Interstate Battery for the Luv. lesson well learned for a no-nothing bum like me. any input or corrections you can add would be appreciated.
