Is there a place that I can get rear springs for my 78' 2wd? The previous owner was a handy man, and the bed was loaded down with 3 tool boxes and the bed full of stuff, so now the springs are sprung and going inverted. I tried to put the ones off my parts 76', but the front bushing is different. I did notice that the bolts are all different in that they are more secure on the 78'. BTW I'm located in Oklahoma. I was going to use the 80' parts trucks springs but decided not to in the hopes I will get that one running. Thanks

I took a set of trooper springs and cut the I's off, then stripped the stock springs down to the main leaf ( this can be done while the springs are on the truck)Then took the bottom (over load) spring off then installed the reat to the stock main leaf. This raised my truck 3"s plus.If you don't wont that much lift then take the bottom sping off and it will not rais as much but still have a good ride.

Oh i forgot you could use the springs as they are but you have to move the front spring mounts forward and i would use the trooper mounts .I would have done this but i was using a guys shop at his business and didn't have the time. And by the way the Trooper rear shackles are also 1" longer then the luv's
