Hey guys. I have a 1979 chevy luv (Long bed) that i bought to work on as a hobby. I was thinking about starting to work on it. I have two G200 motors that I've picked up that run, one of them is fuel injected the other one is carbureted. I also have the stock g180. Its an original manual 4 spd, but Ive picked up a five speed. Its all been sitting for a couple of years. My question is, who sells a "double roller" timing set for the g180/g200? Is there such a thing?,,,,If there is does the chain fit under the stock cover? Thnx for any help, Vic.

Finally, I was able to find someone here in the states that usually has the 1976-1980 g180 engine double row timing set. I tried all of the companies here that Australia said are their distributors. Nobody had them, and were not really interested in stocking them. I found this guy on ebay, his companies ebay name is europarts4auction, he has an ebay store, "Vintage Imports Inc". If you guys already had this information I apologize. This guy (Matt) says he gets them from a company in Australia called "Repco". He sells them for $65.00 plus about $10.00 shipping to the West Coast. I think its a good price. I bought one from him over the phone. The guy had just sold the last chain the day before i called him. He called one of the companies that he sells to and picked it up for me. The guy says he usually has them in stock because he sells them to companies that use this part on some type of industrial machine application. He doesnt put them on ebay because he sells these with no problem without ebay. Anyways, I thought I would share this with everyone, in case you were looking for one. Matt at Vintage Imports (937) 550 4509.
