I bought a 80' 4wd stock luv and the battery is going dead. When you have the key "OFF" the GEN light is on. I have to disconnect the battery each time I turn it off so it won't drain the battery. When I reconnect the battery you can hear 2-3 relays CLICK. What or where would be a good starting point to start diagnosing this problem.

Where or who has the best deal on a rebuild kit for the 1.8> Thanks Lee

Charging system problem. Start with the alternator, that with defective diodes can back feed current through the regulator and energize relays. A defective regulator might also cause this. What happens if you disconnect the plug to the regulator?
